      • Simple to run.

      • No need for specialist personnel.

Impact Selector’s Flapper Investigation Tool (FIT) is designed to determine the status of the flapper in a safety valve. The modular design allows the length and nipple profile to be changed to suit alternative safety valves with little effort.

The FIT is deployed on wireline and landed against the safety valve nipple no-go. The tool is then slowly lifted. If an overpull is achieved, this verifies that the flapper is not housed as it should be and could lead to a potential fishing event should the tool string be deployed below this point. If no overpull is achieved, this verifies the flow tube is fully stroked, the flapper is contained as designed, and intervention can safely take place.

After determining flapper status, the FIT must be activated by downward jarring against the nipple no-go which closes the catch area, providing a continuous flush OD and allowing retrieval to surface.

A brass impression plate on the bottom sub of the tool collects extra information about an open flapper.

        Features:

        • Long slips for controlled load distribution.

        • Full Radial Coverage (FRC) slip design.

        • Available to suit any safety valve.

          Benefits:

          • Brings stuck safety valves back to working order.

          • Can save replacing safety valve.

          • No need for specialist personnel.

Impact Selector’s Flow Tube Exercising Tool (FTET) is a wireline deployed tool for the purpose of shifting or exercising the internal subsurface safety valve (SSSV) flow tube when normal hydraulic actuation has failed.

In the event of debris or scale inhibiting flow tube movement, the FTET uses the existing nipple profile no-go within the tubing retrievable sub surface safety valve (TRSSSV) to accurately position the slips at the preferred location within the flow tube.

            Chemical Jetting Tool

Removes solids and debris from completion components within the well bore.

            Features:

            • Corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction.

            • Made to order custom sizes specific to valve type, size and area of interest.

            • Wireline Deployed

                Benefits:

                • No need for specialist personnel

                • Simple operation.

                • Cost effective.

Impact Selector’s Chemical Jetting Tool (CJT) is designed to remove solids and debris from various completion components within the well bore. It is ideal for scale removal from tubing retrievable down hole safety valves.

The tool can be customized to suit the affected component and jetting can be directed onto a precise target location in order to maximize effect; for example top of flow tube or flapper recess where scale and o ther deposits tend to gather.

The CJT can be described as a Dump Bailer with the ability to disperse its cargo of chemical under pressure, or through the use of mechanical force.

Once all chemical is dispersed, further jetting through the displacement of fluid above the tool may continue if necessary to remove any solids or undissolved particles.

                  Safety Valve Protection Sleeves

Protects seal bore surfaces within the valve from wire or tool damage and protects the wireline from flapper damage. Manufactured to suit individual safety valves.

                  Features:

                  • Drop Off Sleeve

                  • Collet Design

                  • Lock In Design

                  • Large Inner Diameter

                      Benefits:

                      • One run efficiency and large bore tools

                      • Protects the seal bore from intervention wear

                      • Prevents accidental saftey valve closure

Impact Selector’s Safety Valve Protection Sleeve (SVPS) protects seal bore surfaces within safety valves during well intervention. The SVPS also prevents the flapper from closing on the wireline.

Our SVPS have been deployed globally for over a decade. With over 200 sleeve designs available for three sleeve types, Impact Selector can provide an SVPS to suit any application or safety valve.
